Closing the first part of the 2015 season, the Silverstone circuit will host the British GP, eighth round of the FSR season.
At the British motorsports cathedral, FTS has twice sprayed champagne on the World Championship podium, while the team has also won races in different World Series divisions. In 2014, the team added a further victory in the Pro division.
A double WC point-scoring finish at Silverstone!
In the World Championship, featuring an unusual driver lineup, with Eros Masciulli and Mike Partington replacing Norbert Leitner and Patrick De Wit, FTS picked up its first double point-scoring finish of its 15th FSR season!
Eros drove a perfectly executed two-stopper race, and even briefly led the race as others pitted at the end of the first stint. Showing great race pace and tyre management, Eros fiinished in 7th place.
Mike also drove a strong race on a three-stopper strategy. While he was left ruing a few minor mistakes that cost him a few places, he delivered a very solid performance despite having to recover from the back following a first-lap incident. He also showed very quick pace, setting the fastest lap of the race on multiple occasions. In similar fashion to his team-mate, Mike also scored good points by finishing in 9th place.
