- Round Number: 5
- Location: Montreal, Canada
- Dates: 30th - 31st May 2015
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, located at the Île Notre-Dame, in the city of Montreal, will host the Canadian GP, round 5 of the 2015 FSR season.
Faster Than Speed enjoyed great success at the street circuit in past seasons, with the team taking its maiden WC Pole Position at the venue, plus several victories and even 1-2 finishes in the World Series divisions.
Strong drive from Guillermo at Montreal
In the World Championship, it was a difficult race for Norbert Leitner, who was hit by Satherley after his first stop, requiring an unscheduled stop due to heavily flat-spotted tyres. Under the circumstances, he recovered well to finish in 13th place.
Team-mate Patrick De Wit, meanwhile, had a tough start after being hit by Greco at the end of the opening lap. As he tried to recover the lost positions, unfortunately, he misjudged Brewer's braking point and tapped his rear left wheel braking into Turn 1, ending both their races at the spot.
In the Ace division, the team enjoyed a great race from Guillermo Prieto, who set the 2nd fastest time in Q1, and even briefly lead the race before his first stop, to finish in 6th place at Montreal, his best FSR result to date. Guillermo showed strong pace and while a minor incident cost him the chance to battle for the podium, he was on his way to P5 before Masciulli passed him on faster tyres at the start of the final lap.
