One fantastic and aggressive livery was not enough for our FTS-P14 this year, so we have two!
Ernesto De Angelis' traditional black-coloured FTS-P14 features our always mean-looking iconic, artistic panther, in the most gorgeous livery of the FSR field. We repeat ourselves every year, but Ernesto has done it again!
For the FTS Ace Panthers team, this year we have partnered with Real Design, who designed the impressive red-coloured FTS-P14. With an unique panther and simple but beautiful lines, the bright-red with a tad of silver combination definitely won't go unnoticed!
Exclusive shots of the FTS-P14 can be found here.
Our old website has served us well for many years, but it's time for a change!
Our brand new www.fts-racing.net website by Christian Smirnoff was built entirely from scratch, featuring a modern new look and putting the focus on high-resolution images, social interaction, beautiful galleries and the team's history. The new website takes advantage of the latest web technologies to bring you a quick and interactive experience. The website adheres to responsive design principles for you to be able to enjoy a great user experience when browsing from your mobile device or under any screen resolutions. Dynamic content also allows you to, for example, filter our historic drivers' index by achievements, league or nationality, or sort the drivers as you prefer!
The website features many new sections for you to visit. Lots of content is still missing and will be added in the new few days, together with new planned features, so stay tuned for updates!
In the FSR World Championship, Faster Than Speed goes into 2014 with an exciting all-new lineup. Dutch driver Patrick De Wit returns to the team for a third stint with FTS. The team's most successful WC driver, our very own race-winner, comes back for more, hoping to return to the podium he climbed to many times racing under these colours.
We are happy to announce the signing of his compatriot and new team-mate Marcel van der Linden, who joins Faster Than Speed after showing great results and potential last season, potential he is ready to extract onboard the FTS-P14! It will be Marcel's third full WC season.
Patrick De Wit (#18): "I am really happy to be back at Faster Than Speed, I have really great memories with this team, like the team's very first pole position and the special victory at Turkey back in 2007. This team is really family for me, driving in 2007, 2009 to 2011 and now 2014.
My expectations for the season are mixed due to the new simulation. Everything is new for myself and the team, so it is hard to know where we stand at this point. It is going to be a hard task to be at the top, but we will only see when the first round begins in Bahrain.
I have a great team-mate who is showing great potential and last year was very fast on occasions. I think Marcel and I are going to have a great team battle, in our all-dutch lineup!"
Marcel van der Linden (#19): "I am very happy that I got this opportunity to drive for Faster Than Speed. I hope I can continue the climb of last season and be able to get some podium finishes. Along with Patrick, I am convinced that FTS will achieve very good results."
In the FSR Ace division, FTS features Giuseppe Marconi, the experienced Italian driving his ninth season for the team. Meanwhile, Great Britain's Thomas Mundy is joined by Hungarian Norbert Leitner, who joins the team after making his FSR debut with great results last year.
In the FSR Pro division, the lineup is formed by two exciting FTS debutants. Guglielmo Matti, from Italy, will be taking part in his first FSR race in Bahrain, while Mikko Suokas, from Finland, will contest its third FSR season.
Christian Smirnoff (Team Manager): "After so much hard work and having started planning the 2014 season from early last year, we are definitely looking forward to the start of the action! I have a lot of faith in our drivers. What can I say about Patrick, he is our most successful WC driver, we are really glad to have him back. Marcel is a very strong and hard-working driver, I'm convinced he will be very competitive with us and achieve great results. In the Ace and Pro divisions, we have a very exciting mix of new talents and experience. Everyone is working hard and pushing together with great team spirit, I'm sure we will surprise a few this season! I would like to thank Ernesto De Angelis and Daniele Brambilla for their amazing art with the FTS-P14! I hope you enjoy our new website and presentation and thanks to all FTS members for their efforts!"
The action starts today at Sakhir, Bahrain. Our FTS-P14 contender is ready for the challenge! The 2014 season has arrived!
